Johnstonmommies in 2012

Hi all, Katy here. I would like to take this moment to thank you once again for a great job in 2011. We had alot of fun and I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store. I can say that I am so proud that I decided to take on the role of Chapter Manager for JohnstonMommies this year. It hasn't been terribly difficult because of the help I get from my fellow staff members and the awesome members that we have. Our little corner of cyberspace is growing and I'm happy to say that it wouldn't have been possible without our members.
In the coming year, I have some wonderful ideas that will make our forums known to the community. I can't tell you what all of them are yet but prepare to have your socks knocked off.
To raise funds for our little site, we will be participating in some TMN led fundraisers each quarter.
In January, TMN will lead the Restaurants.com gift certificate fundraiser. We all like to eat so I figure that will draw in a little money for us as well as some food. Keep this in mind when planning MNO!
In April, we will be announcing our Flower Power fundraiser. A great spring-time fundraiser, Flower Power Fundraising lets us order their spring flowers online and ships directly to our homes.
In August, we will have Mabel's Labels
And in October, we will be invited to purchase Yankee Candle.
I am excited about these fundraisers and they are set to bring us lots of money for fun stuff.
I am also working with some local friends to set up a TOUCH-A-TRUCK fundraiser. We will have local emergency vehicles set up for our little ones to touch for a minimal admission fee.
Now onto a few personal thank yous.
First I would like to thank Heather (muirenn) our Promotions Manager. She works so hard every day to get our blog published for your reading pleasure. If you have an idea for a blog post, please PM her. I'm sure she's willing to take all the help she can get. She has a bit of help with her "Promotions Minion" Corrie (TKsMommie) but always has her door open for more "minions"
Next, I would like to thank Elizabeth (elizabeth_s). Most of the cool things on the calendar that you see, yeah that would be her. She opens up her home and plans playdates (Like our KAG) to keep our kids and the mommies, sane when there's nothing to do.
Now onto Lori (harmony1003). All those nice little welcome PM's you get when you first join. That's Lori. She works tirelessly to make sure our members feel at home and gives our community a great sense of closeness and friendship
And finally, our area and support group Moderators. Tracy (braves7477) in Smithfield, Jenny (jcholmes) for Domestic Goddesses, and Michelle (shellbell516) for Moms on the Clock. Without these ladies, there would a ton more work for me to do and I appreciate everything they do to keep JM up and running.
I hope you all know how appreciated you are.
For those of you who aren't members of our staff. We thank you, from the bottom of our hearts that you chose Johnston/Harnett counties to live in so you could be members of our awesome site.
